For those of you large in to the video game style, a new edition of the Diablo franchise is about to hit the stores in the near future. Titled, DIABLO III, this edition

is a actual step up from earlier installments. Although the game is still in development, it promises to be a shining star in the ever growing galaxy of video games.

The developers are striving to make the game run on a wide gamut of systems & have said that the use of DirectX ten is not necessary. The overhead view to the player

will be similar to earlier games except that it will be achieved in a far superior manner by using a custom 3D game engine. The enemies of the player will also have the

use of the 3D effect which will enable them to do wild & crazy things like crawling up the side of a wall from the deep depths in to a combat zone.

Just as in the earlier edition of DIABLO II, you can run multi player games as well. This will be feasible using the Blizzards Battle.net service. This will make it

simple for players to drop in and out of playing sessions with others. The great part of this new edition is that each time you replay the game you will get different

experiences. plenty of times when you replay some video games you are limited in the varieties of the variations. One time you have hit them, you kind of lose interest

in replaying the same thing over and over. With DIABLO III, you will get randomly generated levels as well as some static levels. This will provide a variety of playing

levels. The game will also provide an enhanced quest level that will provide specific quest levels which will compliment the main story quests.

So far, character classes have been announced. These will be Barbarian, Witch Doctor and Wizard. Unlike the earlier editions of DIABLO, a player will be able to select

a gender for each character class with DIABLO III. DIABLO II featured the Barbarian and it will be the that will be transferred over to the new edition.
The story line will play as a type of sequel to the earlier editions of DIABLO. It is placed in the same dark fantasy world called Sanctuary. This world was saved in

DIABLO II by a handful of anonymous hero types. A new nasty is on the horizon and is threatening Sanctuary. The earlier warriors from the other editions have gone mad

after the ordeals they faced fighting the armies of the Burning Hells.

Although no release date has been set, the developers are planning on releasing it on Windows and Mac OS X platforms simultaneously. Release on video game consoles is

not planned in the foreseeable future.
